Here at the Gentle Doctor Animal Hospitals we take great pride in the professionals that have chosen to make their careers in animal health flourish under our name. You will not find a more talented assembly of veterinary technicians anywhere.
Angie Werth L.V.T. - Director of Hospital Operations Angie began working at the Gentle Doctor in 1997 after a brief career in research using her technical experience. She was trained by Dr. Robert Bashara in all areas of verterinary medicine and has been promoted within the company several times. Her current position charges her with managing our entire technical staff, inventory control, assisting in unique surgeries and other management duties related to the technical staff.
Erin Childers L.V.T. - Director of Technical Services Erin joined the staff at Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital in 2004 after completing her externship. She received her L.V.T from Vatterott College in Omaha, NE. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding with her horse Chesney. Erin also has three dogs, Brody, Kaia and Kobi as well as two cats, Gisele and Lolita.
Kelly Turley L.V.T. - Kelly graduated from Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE. Kelly joined the Gentle Doctor team in 2002. Kelly and her husband Bill live in Bennington and have a son named Will. In her free time she enjoys sports and spending time at their horse barn. Kelly has a Visla, Shelby, a boxer, Abe, and 3 cats.
Jenny Bickel L.V.T. - Jenny joined the Gentle Doctor team in March of 1998. She was born and raised in Clarinda, IA. In 1995 she received her Associate in Animal Science Degree from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA. She is happily married to Bart and had been blessed with 4 wonderful children, Jesse, Darcie, Mason and Turner. When she is not working part time she homeschools her children and enjoys photography.

Daria Campbell L.V.T. - Daria was born and raised in Miami, Florida and received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida State. She decided that working with animals was her long term goal and went back to school to be a licensed veterinary technician, graduating from Vatterott College in 2007. She joined Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital after her externship at the Henry Doorly Zoo in 2007. She lives in Omaha with her husband Jason, her dog Sally and 2 cats, Bender and Leela.
Michelle Biers L.V.T. - Shelly joined the Gentle Doctor team in April of 2009. She completed her veterinary extern in Tennessee and enjoyed exotic animal medicine. Shelly graduated from Vatterott College in 2007. She enjoys the outdoors and walking her dog Moose.
Rebecca Meysenburg L.V.T - Becky graduated from the Omaha College of Health Careers with an Associates Degree of Applied Science in the field of Veterinary Technology in 2000. Becky has been with Gentle Doctor Animal Hospitals since November of 2008. She currently resides in Omaha with her 2 year old daughter. Becky and her daughter enjoy spending time at home with their three cats and one dog.
Liel Wilwerding L.V.T - Liel recieved her L.V.T from Iowa Western Community College and joined the team at Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital in 2009. Liel has always loved working with animals and has worked in a variety of animal care facitilites ranging from wildlife rehabilitation hospitals to caring for exotics in zoos. Liel and her husband Eric live in Omaha with their cat Carl and dog Lucky.
Laura Christianson L.V.T- Laura joined the Gentle Doctor staff in 2007. She received her LVT in 2009 from Vatterott College of Omaha. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends and family. Laura has an Australian Shepherd, Riley, a Lab Mix, Tyson and a cat, Chase.
Laura Drews - Senior Veterinary Assistant Laura will celebrate her 30th year with Gentle Doctor Animal Hospitals in June of 2010. Laura is a great asset to many aspects of the daily routine at the hospital, from technical assistant to making sure that all pets are reminded of their upcoming visits to the hospital. Laura is married and has three children, Kyle, Asia and Seth. In her spare time she like to go to the gym and spend time with her horse, Blaze.
